Action Plan for Teacher not meeting National Standard 1.3
This an example of a four-month action plan designed to help a teacher meet national standard 1.3. The plan is similar to an appraisal objective, and as with other examples, it identifies a certain number of pupils to work with in order to focus efforts and hopefully demonstrate tangible progress. Formal monthly support meetings are scheduled and a final review date is set. This action plan would have been drafted in accordance with the appraisal and capability policy relevant to the school. Click here for the DfE’s exemplar policies. Impact measures are clearly defined but specific performance criteria are not defined. The decision as to whether the standard is met at final review will be a professional judgment based on the evidence gathered during the four-month process.
